Dating/courting has turned into an elaborate set of unwritten rules which must be followed to the letter, no matter what the circumstances.
Rabin (1995) mentions ten parameters that are necessary for a mature spousal relationship:
warmth – friendship, a sincere and deep emotional bond between spouses;

Marital mistrust and jealousy often emanates from a culture that accepts, and expects, sex outside of marriage. Today, few couples walk down the aisle sexually pure.
Cancer is like a beast from the pit. It has brought hurt and pain into far too many lives. It is fierce and cruel. It knows no boundaries or limits.
While Scripture doesn’t mention emotional abuse by name, it is easy to infer that God is not pleased with it. Consider what the Psalmist says:
He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty and he who controls his spirit than he who takes a city” (
Spirit came in childhood and pleaded, ‘Let me in’, but the door was bolted by thoughtlessness and sin. The boy said,’ there is time enough tomorrow’.
The Spirit went away.
