Be still
Wednesday with Jesus
Grace and peace to you in the Name of Lord Jesus Christ!
Dear Bretheren in Christ,
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
Life is often a storm of noise—voices, deadlines, problems, and fears shouting all at once. In the middle of that rush, God whispers, “Be still.” Stillness is not laziness; it is an act of trust. It is saying, “Lord, I step back so You can step in.”
Think of a child who cannot untie a knot in his shoelace. The harder he pulls, the tighter it gets. Finally, he hands it over to his father, who calmly loosens it. Many of our life’s knots are the same—we make them worse by pulling harder. Jesus invites us to hand them over and be still in His presence.
When you slow down and turn your heart to Him, you discover that God is bigger than your storm, wiser than your questions, and closer than your breath. Stillness becomes strength because you realize you are not alone—He is God, and He is with you.
Lord Jesus, teach me to be still in Your presence. Help me trust You more than my worries, and rest in the truth that You are God and You are near.
In Your Holy Name we pray, Amen.
Prayerful regards,
