Be thankful
Hey dear young friends in Christ,
'It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High. It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening.'— Psalm 92:1–2
Many people remember to say “thank you” during special occasions like Thanksgiving Day. Families gather, meals are shared, and prayers of gratitude are offered. But the Bible reminds us that thanksgiving should not be seasonal—it should be daily. From morning to evening, our hearts and lips can express gratitude to God.
Think about the many blessings in your life: parents who care for you, friends who support you, teachers who guide you, and the countless opportunities God gives you every day. When you pause to say “thank you,” you begin to notice how much goodness surrounds your life.
Gratitude is powerful. A thankful teenager does not easily fall into constant complaining, jealousy, or negativity. Instead, thanksgiving shapes the mind and heart. It makes you more positive, kind, respectful, and humble. When you appreciate what you have, you also learn to value people more deeply.
Make thanksgiving a daily habit. When you wake up in the morning, thank God for a new day. In the evening, thank Him for guiding and protecting you. Thank your parents for their sacrifices. Thank your teachers and friends for their support. Simple words of gratitude can brighten someone’s day and strengthen your own character.
A thankful heart is a joyful heart. And a joyful heart reflects the beauty of God in your life.
Jesus loves you!
