Praise!
My dear beloved Youth in Christ,

As the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the LORD.” When people commend themselves, it doesn't count for much. The important thing is for the Lord to commend them.
— 2 Corinthians 10:17-18 NLT

When we do something well, we want to tell others and be recognized. But recognition is dangerous—it can lead to inflated pride. How much better it is to seek the praise of God rather than the praise of people. Then, when we receive praise, we will be free to give God the credit.

"Dear Heavenly Father,
Help us to shift our focus from our own strength and accomplishments to your greatness and glory.
May our confidence be rooted in your power, not our own. May we boast only in the cross of Jesus Christ, where true victory and salvation are found.
We pray for humility and a heart that seeks your praise alone. May our lives reflect your glory, and may we be vessels for your honor.
In Your Holy Name, Amen.
