Faith beyond what is seen.
Praise!
My dear beloved Youth in Christ,
'And Abram believed the LORD, and the LORD counted him as righteous because of his faith.'
— Genesis 15:6 NLT
This short verse captures a profound truth about faith and God’s grace. Abram (later Abraham) was not declared righteous because of his deeds, but because he believed in God’s promise. His trust in God’s word, despite not yet seeing the fulfillment, became the foundation of his relationship with God.
We, too, can have a right relationship with God by trusting him. Our outward actions—church attendance, prayer, good deeds—will not by themselves make us right with God. A right relationship is based on faith—the heartfelt inner confidence that God is who he says he is and does what he says he will do.
Just as Abram trusted God’s promise, we are called to trust in God’s promises in our lives—most importantly, the promise of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Reflect today:
Are you placing your trust in what you can see or in God’s unseen promises?
How can you demonstrate greater faith in God’s plans for your life?
Faith invites us into deeper intimacy with God, where He meets our belief with His grace and righteousness.
Jesus loves you!
