Praise!
My dear beloved Youth in Christ,

Have you ever been hurt by someone or felt like giving up on a friend who let you down? It’s natural as humans to feel anger, disappointment, and even revenge. But in Hosea 11:9, God reminds us of something powerful: He is not like us. His love is deeper, His patience is greater, and His mercy never runs out.

God’s words to His people come after they had repeatedly disobeyed Him. Instead of reacting with wrath, He responds with compassion. Why? Because He is God—not a mere mortal who holds grudges or gives up easily.

This is good news for us! When we mess up, God doesn’t cancel us. He corrects us with love and keeps reaching out. He’s holy, but He’s also incredibly loving.

Reflection Question:
How does knowing that God is not like people in His love and mercy give you comfort when you make mistakes?

God, thank You that You are not like people. Your love never fails, even when I do. Help me to trust in Your mercy and live in a way that reflects Your grace.
