God knows our load limit
Dear Bretheren in Christ,
““The LORD is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. For he knows how weak we are; he remembers we are only dust.” — Psalm 103:13–14
Many people imagine God mainly as a strict judge who watches every mistake. While God is holy and just, this passage reminds us that His heart toward us is also deeply fatherly. A loving father does not forget that his child is still growing. He knows the child’s limits, weaknesses, and fears.
God sees us the same way. He knows our fragile bodies, our emotional struggles, and the pressures of life. When He examines our lives, He remembers that we are dust—weak, limited, and dependent. This does not mean God excuses sin, but it means His discipline is mixed with compassion.
God gently lifts us when we fall and teaches us to walk in righteousness.
Our weakness should never become an excuse for wrongdoing, but it should become a reason to trust God more deeply. His mercy understands our condition. His compassion carries us when we cannot stand alone.
So today, do not approach God with fear alone. Come with reverence and trust, knowing that the One who created you also understands you. His fatherly love is greater than your weakness.
Loving Father, thank You for remembering that I am weak and fragile. Help me to trust Your compassion and walk faithfully in Your grace today. Amen.
Prayerful regards,
