If you believe...
Dear Bretheren in Christ,
“If You Believe, You Will See the Glory of God”
(John 11:40)
Martha was standing before Jesus at the tomb of her brother Lazarus. Grief had filled her heart, and hope seemed lost. At that moment Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” These words were not meant only for Martha—they are spoken to every believer.
The glory of God is more than a miracle. It is the clear revelation of God’s nature—His love, power, faithfulness, and authority even over death. Martha believed in Jesus, yet her faith struggled when faced with the finality of the grave. Jesus gently reminded her that faith must rise above what the eyes can see.
We often want God to act first so that we can believe. But Jesus teaches us the opposite: believe first, and then you will see. True faith trusts God even when the stone is still in place and the situation seems beyond repair.
When we trust Jesus in silence, delay, and pain, God is already at work, preparing His glory to be revealed in His perfect time.
Today, Jesus asks us what He asked Martha: Do you believe Me now? If we choose faith over fear, we too will see the greatness of God—sometimes through miracles, sometimes through strength, and always through His faithful presence.
Lord Jesus, help me to trust You even when I cannot see the way forward. Strengthen my faith, that I may witness Your glory in my life. Amen.
Prayerful regards,
