Lord, be my strength
Wednesday with Jesus
Dear Bretheren in Christ,
“Hear my cry, for I am very low. Rescue me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me.”
— Psalm 142:6 (NLT)
At times, life feels heavier than we can bear. Pressures rise, people oppose, and situations seem stronger than us. David experienced this deep helplessness and cried, “I am very low.” He did not hide his weakness—he brought it honestly before God.
God does not expect us to be strong all the time. He invites us to call on Him when we feel overpowered. Prayer lifts us out of our inner collapse and reminds us that we are not alone. What is too strong for us is never too strong for God.
A child struggling with a heavy load finally calls his father, who lifts both the child and the burden. The weight remains—but the strength to carry it comes from another.
Lord Jesus, when I feel weak and overwhelmed, teach me to cry out to You.
Be my strength and carry me through every burden.
In Your Holy Name we pray, Amen.
Prayerful regards,
