My shepherd

Wednesday with Jesus

Grace and peace to you in the Name of Lord Jesus Christ!
Dear Bretheren in Christ,

Psalm 23:1 – “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

This short verse holds a powerful truth: when the Lord is our Shepherd, we have everything we truly need. A shepherd provides direction, protection, nourishment, and care. In the same way, God watches over every detail of our lives. Even when we feel uncertain, lacking, or restless, His presence becomes our sufficiency.

We often chase after more—more money, more success, more approval—thinking it will finally satisfy us. But the Shepherd gently reminds us that peace comes not from having more, but from trusting more. He leads, we follow. He gives, we rest.

A child once panicked after getting separated from his parent in a crowd. But the moment he felt his father’s hand clasp his, he calmed down—even though they were still in the same noisy place. The surroundings didn’t change, but the presence made all the difference. That’s what it means to have the Lord as your Shepherd.

Dear Shepherd of my soul, teach me to trust Your care above all else. Help me to rest in Your presence, knowing I will not lack anything You know I need.
In Your Holy Name we pray, Amen.

Prayerful regards,
