New Year

Hey dear young friends in Christ,

A new year feels like a fresh notebook—clean pages, new chances, and fresh hope. But the truth is, a new year doesn’t automatically change us; God’s presence and our daily choices do.
The Bible says, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17). God is not just interested in changing the calendar, but in renewing your heart, your thoughts, and your direction. As you step into this new year, don’t carry last year’s guilt, failures, or comparisons. Leave them at the feet of Jesus.

New Year resolutions often focus on the outside—marks, body, popularity—but God focuses on the inside. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart… and He will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5–6). When you start your year with prayer, obedience, and the Word of God, your life becomes guided, not confused.

Remember, teenagers: you don’t have to figure out life alone. The Holy Spirit is your daily companion, your inner guide, and your strength. Walk with Him, listen to Him, and this year will not just be new, it will be meaningful.

Lord Jesus, thank You for the gift of a new year. Renew my heart, guide my steps, and help me live this year to please You. Amen.
Jesus loves you!
