Stay pure
Hey dear young friends in Christ,
“How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word.” — Psalm 119:9
Let’s be real—today’s world is loud, fast, and full of distractions. Everywhere you turn—social media, movies, conversations—there’s pressure pulling you toward choices that don’t honor God. Purity isn’t just challenged… it’s constantly attacked.
So the question is honest and important:
How can you stay pure in such an environment?
The truth is—you can’t do it alone. And you were never meant to.
Purity is not about trying harder; it’s about staying closer—closer to God and His Word. The Bible isn’t just a book of rules; it’s a living guide that shapes your thoughts, guards your heart, and strengthens your decisions.
When your mind is filled with God’s truth:
You begin to recognize what is right and wrong more clearly
You develop the strength to say “no” when temptation calls
You gain the wisdom to walk away from harmful influences
Think of your heart like a room—if it’s filled with light, darkness has no space to stay.
If your phone is constantly connected to Wi-Fi, it updates, stays secure, and works properly. But if it disconnects, it becomes vulnerable.
Your connection to God’s Word works the same way.
Your Challenge This Week
Spend 5 minutes daily reading a Bible verse
Ask yourself: “What is God telling me to do today?”
Make one conscious choice each day to obey it—even if it’s hard
Small daily obedience leads to a strong and pure life
Remember:
You don’t fight impurity by focusing on it—you overcome it by filling your life with something greater: God’s truth.
Lord, help me stay pure in a world full of distractions. Fill my heart with Your Word and give me strength to live it out every day. Amen.
Jesus loves you!
