Wednesday with Jesus

Grace and peace to you in the Name of Lord Jesus Christ!
Dear Bretheren in Christ,

“Then everyone deserted him and fled.” – Mark 14:50

The scene is dark. Torches flicker. Soldiers grab Jesus. And in that moment of pressure and fear, all His disciples run away—the same ones who vowed loyalty, who shared bread with Him, who heard His teachings and saw His miracles. Jesus stands alone.

Desertion can wound more deeply than betrayal. Many of us know the pain of being left—by friends, family, or even fellow believers—especially during times of hardship. But Jesus faced the ultimate loneliness so that we would never be truly alone again. In your darkest hour, when no one seems to stand with you, remember: Jesus understands. He’s been there. And He still chose the cross—for you.
Life’s hardest moments—sickness, aging, poverty, or betrayal—can scatter those around us. But Jesus never leaves.

Lord Jesus, thank You for never abandoning me, even when others do. Help me to stand with You, just as You stood alone for me.
In Your Holy Name we pray, Amen.

Prayerful regards,
