What am I chasing?

WEDNESDAY WITH LORD JESUS
Grace and peace to you in the Name of Lord Jesus Christ!
Dear Bretheren in Christ,

'What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?' — Mark 8:36–37

In a world driven by success, fame, and comfort, it’s easy to believe that having more will make us complete. Many people chase after wealth, status, and influence, pouring their time and energy into building an image that society applauds—but Jesus offers a sobering question: What is the use of gaining everything, only to lose your soul?

Our souls are eternal, while the pleasures of this world are temporary. The joy found in Christ is not based on what we own, but on who owns us. When we follow Jesus, we exchange temporary gains for eternal treasures. True life is not found in the pursuit of things, but in the pursuit of Christ.

WHAT AM I CHASING?

Lord Jesus, help me to value my soul more than success. Teach me to seek You above all else. Let me not be blinded by the world’s offers, but draw me to Your everlasting truth and joy. Amen.
Prayerful regards,
