When anger or anxiety knocks
Dear beloved children in Christ,
Hey teens! Have you ever felt so angry that you wanted to scream, or so anxious that your heart raced and your mind froze? You’re not alone. Life can stir up strong emotions—when people misunderstand you, when grades drop, or when you feel unseen or unappreciated. But here’s good news: God understands your feelings and offers peace that calms even the storm inside.
The Bible says, “Be angry, and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger” (Ephesians 4:26). Anger itself isn’t evil—it’s how we handle it that matters. When anger controls us, we lose joy and hurt others. But when we give our feelings to God in prayer, He helps us forgive and stay calm.
Anxiety also steals peace. Jesus said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled” (John 14:1). That means you can talk to Him when you’re afraid—about exams, friendships, or the future. The moment you whisper, “Lord, help me,” His peace begins to flow.
Try this: when you feel angry, pause—pray—breathe. When you feel anxious, talk—trust—thank. These simple steps invite Jesus to handle what feels too heavy.
Remember, you’re not weak for having emotions—you’re strong when you bring them to God.
Lord Jesus, help me manage my anger and anxiety with Your peace. Teach me to pause, pray, and trust You in every storm. Amen.
Jesus loves you!
