Work and REST

Grace and peace to you in the Name of Lord Jesus Christ!
Dear Bretheren in Christ,

'In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat— for he grants sleep to those he loves.'  Psalm 127:2

This verse reminds us that our efforts are futile without God's blessing. We often exhaust ourselves with endless work, believing that our survival depends solely on our striving. However, God assures us that He provides for those He loves. Rest is not a sign of laziness but a gift from God. When we trust in Him, we can work diligently while also embracing peace, knowing that He is ultimately in control.

Heavenly Father,
During this lent, I surrender my anxieties and burdens to You. Help me to trust in Your provision rather than relying solely on my own efforts. Teach me to balance work and rest, knowing that You give sleep to those You love. Fill my heart with peace and assurance that You are my provider. May I find rest not just for my body but for my soul, resting in Your unfailing love.
In Your Holy Name we pray, Amen.

Prayerful regards,
