GREATEST COMFORTER!
In his pain and agony David sang, “How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?” (PS. 13:1-2). Four times in just two verses he asks God, “How long?”
Sometimes the pains of life seem like they will never end.
Like King David, we can honestly go to our heavenly Father with our pain and loss, knowing that He will never leave us or abandon us. While writing his psalm, David’s words moved from sadness and hopelessness to certainty: “But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation” (PS. 13:5).
In our seemingly endless moments of struggle, God’s certain love will carry us. We can find security and peace when we come to Him, even in our darkest moments.
BELOVED HEAVENLY FATHER, IN TIMES OF PAIN AND LOSS, YOU'RE MY GREATEST COMFORT!
Jesus Loves You!
