Fear of the Lord

Hey Teens!

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” – Proverbs 9:10 (NIV)

To “fear God” doesn’t mean to be scared of Him—it means to respect Him deeply, honor Him always, and live knowing He sees everything. When you fear God, you stop asking, “What can I get away with?” and start asking, “What would please the Lord?”

A God-fearing attitude helps you make wise decisions when no one else is watching. It keeps your heart humble, your words clean, and your actions pure. It doesn’t kill your joy—it protects it. It’s the secret to a life that’s strong, meaningful, and full of God’s favor.

Remember: When you fear God, you won’t fear what others think. He becomes your audience, your guide, and your strength.

Lord, teach me to live with a heart that honors You above all. Help me to respect Your Word, obey Your voice, and walk in wisdom. Let the fear of the Lord guide my choices every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Jesus loves you!
