Guard your heart

Hey dear young friends in Christ,

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” (Proverbs 4:23)

Your heart is the control center of your life. It is where your thoughts, dreams, decisions, and values come from. The Bible tells us to guard our heart. That means we must be careful about what we allow inside. What we see, listen to, and think about can either build us up or slowly break us down.

Sometimes, we may think certain shows, music, online chats, or friendships are harmless. But slowly, they can influence our speech, our habits, and even our character. A small drop of ink can color an entire glass of water. Likewise, a little wrong influence can spoil our purity and peace.

Guarding your heart does not mean isolating yourself. It means choosing wisely. Choose friends who respect God. Choose content that inspires clean thinking. Choose actions that match your faith. When we guard our heart, we protect our joy, purpose, and future.

Remember: What you keep in your heart will shape who you become.

Lord Jesus, help me to guard my heart with Your wisdom.

Fill my thoughts, desires, and decisions with Your love and purity. Amen.

Jesus loves you!
